Where do I begin?

How have eight months slipped by without my writing? As I wrote earlier in the year, 2017 has been a year of major changes and a major loss. My heart still aches over losing Watson. I think we'll be adopting this spring, but the new pup will have some awfully big paw prints to fill. In May my husband retired and we decided to go on a grand adventure. We sold our home in Colorado and bought an incredible barn house in the Finger Lakes region of NY. It literally was a barn built in 1880 and converted to a house with hand-hewn beams and four fireplaces. We love it, but having been here less than a month we are still settling in and finding our things in the oddest of places. Thanks movers! I'm looking forward to becoming a part of another art community and getting to know artists in this part of the country.  I'm making art friends all over the US now! My new studio is taking shape along with the rest of the house, and life is good. The work of art below is part of a new mini series I've been working on. I hope you like it. This little pig looks so hopeful and happy. That's how I feel right now. So, where do I begin? With a new chapter. That's all for now...
